Um, I know this may be far reaching (and this just proves I think of this damn show way too much) and it also may be giving Carver and the writers way to much credit in the line of resolving past conflicts, but maybe Sam's irrational anger with Benny being a vampire stems from the voice mail he thinks he received from Dean back in season 4 that was tampered with. For all we know, Sam still truly believes Dean actually said those things and now all he sees is his brother supposedly paling around with another blood-sucking freak (the other one being himself of course). Perhaps Carver plans on bringing that up down the road and actually having them talk it out, ha ha (yeah right). Anyhoo, excellent review and it always amazes me how much time, thought and consideration fandom writers give to this show. Simply incredible and thank you for this.
