The fake suicide thing is awful. It's hard enough to get mental illness recognized, understood, and believed without having to wade through a crowd of kids messing around. Plus it takes anyone in a really vulnerable place that comes across it and exposes them to a whole bunch of emotional crap they just don't need to be dealing with. It's kind of like yelling 'fire'.
